After this long New England winter, I have been pining for Spring and warmer, sunny days and thinking about Tio's garden.
If it's not spring where you are, and even if it is, enjoy the simple beauty of his well-cared-for garden.
This is Luna. That face...
Some of his bees.
I love the grapevines.
Many varieties of apples
Kiwis...in Spain
Lemons
And limes.
Figs...not ready yet, but oh so good when they are.
Oranges
And so many pretty flowers.
Pears
Do you have a garden at your home? If so, what is your favorite part?
I would love to have my own fresh produce! Ah! I don't have a garden..nor know anything about it!
ReplyDeleteWow, how nice have some much food in his yard. We have orange, grapefruit, and lemon trees....but that is it.
ReplyDeleteHis garden is amazing, and your post today doesn't help me with accepting this grey day. Although, it is supposed to warm up to 60 degrees. But, I do miss sunshine and plants.
ReplyDeleteI could spend hours in his garden! How beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI would love nothing more than a house with a yard so I could have a garden.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these wonderful photos. They are very hopeful images.
Spring will return. : )
Eventually.
What a beautiful garden. I wish I could grow oranges in Iowa!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I'd love to grow so many things. We don't really have a good spot for it right now. Where there is yard, there is no sun. Where there's no yard, there's sun.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing garden! We just built a greenhouse for our garden this Spring/Summer. I love the fact that your uncle keeps bees as well. That's something I'd love to learn!
ReplyDeleteHe can grow anything. I don't have pictures, but there are also potatoes, kale, onions, carrots, strawberries and wheat...so much. He has a green thumb, for sure.
ReplyDeleteWe have space too, but traveling in the summer leaves our harvest to the animals. Someday, we'll grow food. Until then, we'll shop at and support our local farms.
ReplyDeleteHe grows so much. I don't know how he does it. He has a green thumb, for sure.
ReplyDeleteSpring will come back eventually. I am hopeful too, especially after today's spring-like weather. :-)
ReplyDeleteMe too. It is beautiful and so peaceful. A true oasis.

ReplyDeleteMaybe someday. :-) In the meantime, support your local farmers.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a garden but I have a few plants. I love tulips. Those yellow and purple plants are pretty, do you know the names of them?
ReplyDeleteIncredible garden! Your pictures make me feel warm already! I tried a garden last spring and it appears that my gardening abilities only extend to potted plants at work. Maybe I'll try to grow tomatoes at my desk this year... ;)
ReplyDeleteI miss having a garden! There's something so nice about stepping outside our door and grabbing some herbs or veggies for a meal. I've never had fresh figs! Love it when you feature some of Spain life :)
