The lessons were clear. All of us have the potential of Santiago, the simple shepherd, to follow our dreams.
You are not a victim of circumstance. You can decide how you live this one amazing life. Do not surrender your power to fate. You may not control everything that happens to you, but you can control your reaction.
Love...pass it on.
Never stop dreaming. Dream big. You're worth it.
And look around...this life is pretty amazing. Count your blessings.

Great words, and a great start to my Monday. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNice. He really does have some great quotes! I can't believe I haven't read The Alchemist yet. I used to read a lot of SARK; she's pretty inspirational. Also I'm inspired by any type of female travel memoir.
ReplyDeleteI read it last year and thought it was pretty great too! One of my favorite quotes from the book was something like 'when you want something all the Universe conspires in helping you to achieve it' !
ReplyDeleteI have not read this yet, but I have heard good things! This may have to go on my summer reading list!

ReplyDeleteHi Kelly! I loved the Alchemist and have read nearly all of Paulo Coelho's books. I love all your photo quotes but my favorite of all of his is: "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." He's not the only one who said it but it is something I don't think I or anyone can hear enough. ~Kathy
ReplyDeleteI have never read it!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the Alchemist yet, I want to - but I so agree. life is amazing and it doesn't last long for each of us, so we should grab it by the horns and enjoy every last bit of it.
ReplyDeleteVery good lesson, count your blessings is a good lesson to remember.
ReplyDeleteI will have to read that for sure. Just lined it up in Amazon :) Love the quotes too! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking his views and the encouraging words. Also, "in lifestyle design, Tit seemed like a natural fit" I'm not sure about the boob reference here.. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, I've never read the Alchemist though it does look great with your overview. There are so many inspirational books, and though having read many, it seems that each unique book provides from small to gigantic gems for the moment, for one's life experience at a future time, or even those times past. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy. I think that there is a book that speaks to every person. It's finding the "soundbite" that works for you. It reminds me a bit of the Celestine Prophecy, from years ago...follow your path and seek your treasure. It's a good read.
ReplyDeleteUGH! How did I miss that? Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carolann. It's a great read!
ReplyDeleteI agree. When you look around, life is pretty amazing!
