November! Already! Where did this year go?
Ahora, meaning Now in Spanish, is a monthly series that gives you
the highlights of what's going on in my life each month. See where it started with this post.
Even this little guy is decked out in his fall best.
It's getting colder and I've begun my winter hibernation nesting.
There is much to look forward to this month.
Here's what's trending in my world.
Here's the book trailer.
What I'm watching
What I'm watching
- How to Get Away with Murder. First, there was Grey's Anatomy. Then I joined #TeamFitz with Scandal. And now, Shonda Rimes, has, once again, made Thursday nights "Must-See-TV" with How to Get Away with Murder. Viola Davis is amazing. The multi-layered story arcs twist and turn and leave you wondering what just happened. It's a fun escape. And it's free on Hulu.
What I'm listening to
- Want to get happy? Go to your local music source now, and get yourself Jason Mraz's Yes. I am swooning.
No doubt, this is my favorite cut...A World With You
What I'm eating
- The cool weather
hibernationnesting has begun. Stews, hot apple cider, homemade pizza, chocolate chip cookies and red wine...yup...that's about right. Don't let my trainer know.
What I'm drinking
- French wine. And when in Paris, vin chaud...hot wine. A delicious, adapted recipe is coming. Stay tuned...
Why I'm smiling
- Happy Blogging Anniversary to me! November 1st marked two years for my lovely space on the web. And what a gift it has been! I am so grateful for the support I have received from other bloggers and the opportunities that have come my way. Here's to year three!
- I taught my first How to Start a Blog class in a local adult continuing-ed school. What fun!
- Paris. I smile just thinking about it. We will be spending Thanksgiving in the City of Light and Love. There's less pressure to sightsee, since we have been there before. This trip is about meandering, exploring new corners, and soaking in the love.
And there you have it...that is what is trending Ahora in my world.
Your turn...what is happening in your world these days?
Right now it feels like the only shows I am watching were created by Shonda Rimes!
ReplyDeleteBut those Shonda Rimes shows are so good though. :-) Scandal is my favorite.
DeleteI can't drink wine, but I have to say the idea of warm wine is interesting!
ReplyDeleteI've taught a blogging class a couple times, too. It's lots of fun. Lots of work to prepare, but easy to teach for me. When I do it, I focus on what to do before starting. I only volunteered...not paid. :) Happy anniversary!
Thanks, Annette! It's been a great two years.
DeleteThe blogging class was a lot of fun. And the warm wine is delicious, for sure. Thank you for stopping by.
Great post, and congratulations on your blog anniversary!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christine! It's been a great two years. :-) Thank you for stopping by!
DeleteHappy 2 years of blogging! That is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rebecca! It's been a great two years. :-) Thank you for stopping by!
DeleteHappy blog anniversary!
ReplyDeleteI get what you mean totally about not having the pressure to be a tourist the second time. The first time I went to Sweden I was totally overwhelmed and pressured and there were so many feelings of panic and being lost. The second visit, it really felt like home. I just hung out with friends and took the subway wherever I wanted. It was fantastic.
Thank you, Alex! It's been a great two years. :-)
DeleteI'm really looking forward to meandering, rather than simply sightseeing.
Sweden is on our list. I'll bet it was amazing.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
I am all about the nesting in this cold and dreary weather. Bring on the books, movies and warm foods. How to Get Away with Murder is one of my new favorite shows too.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. Nest or bust. :-)
DeleteCongrats on you blogging anniversary!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the hot wine recipe, it sounds really interesting and great for this cold weather. I got back from the Caribbean on Saturday and it snowed here in Cleveland... anything warm is good in my book right now.
Thank you, Rachel! It's been a great two years. :-) I am all about the warm...winters are tough.
DeleteThank you for stopping by!
First Happy Belated Blogiversary!! I wish I could've attended your class sounds like it would have been interesting. I am in the same boat as you about How To Get Away With Murder. I have never missed an episode yet. Once again. I just love how much you travel around the world I honestly live vicariously through you until I can do it one day.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jazmine! It's been a great two years. :-) I usually catch up on Hulu, as I'm usually asleep after Scandal. You will travel one day. Plan your first trip..where are you going? :-)
DeleteCongratulations Kelly on your Blog Anniversary, I've so enjoyed following your continuously interesting and uplifting Posts, so filled with good spirit. Am so looking forward to reading about your upcoming 'Paris in Thanksgiving'. (Maybe you can begin writing a holiday novel on that one!)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Peggy! It's been a great two years. A book? Hmmm...something to think about, for sure. :-)
DeleteI was sixteen days in France with my mom -her gift to me and what a great memory. Take lots of photo's while you are there!!!
ReplyDeleteI will, for sure, Dana. Love, love, love Paris. It never gets old. Thank you for stopping by!
DeleteI love your photos! I never got into Grey's Anatomy, but I watched the first three seasons of Scandal on Netflix. I started to watch the fourth season, but I can't get into it. It's too negative, and I'm too sensitive. Haha. Happy November!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Suheiry! I'm really trying to take better pictures...hit and miss. Happy November to you too.
DeleteHappy blog anniversary!
ReplyDeleteThanksgiving in Paris sounds absolutely amazing.
I love How to Get Away With Murder. Viola Davis is fabulous.
Thanks, Steph!
DeleteParis is always amazing. I can't wait.
And you're right...Viola Davis is amazing. And so is the guy who plays Olivia's dad on Scandal, Great timing!
I'll have to check that book out. Pizza and red wine sounds like our typical Friday dinner.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend!
