Happy New Year! The school break between Christmas and the New Year usually a slow one, marked by lazy mornings with tea and a book, the gym at whatever time I decide to go, afternoon naps, and bedtimes dictated by drowsiness, instead of a lurking alarm.
This year, the break was marked by a new list project...
fierce Uno and Rummikub games...
New Year's Eve fortunes...
grapes and Cava to welcome 2016...
and time with my girl, the future veterinarian and current puppy whisperer.
Goodbyes are
The SeƱor and I ended the weekend with lattes and lounging...
and another training session for this one...
Here's to happy weekending in 2016. How was your first weekend of 2016?
What a wonderful end to last year and start to this year!! Getting back to reality and starting with a routine is always a bit hard, but it's nice too! Happy Monday - also I'm not sure what town you live in, but we were near Westfield where the bridge photo was taken! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely first weekend of the year Kelly, Journaling Inspiration, celebrations, special times with your niece, and Gracie is as cute as ever. Wishing you many more happy weekends in the 51 weekends ahead!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to end the week. Uno was such a great game to play with the family. Hope 2016 brings great things for you.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Peggy. Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm in Central MA; it looked like the covered bridge to the Old Mill in Westminster. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful weekend, though. Have to grasp them when you get them, right? Here's to a great 2016!
ReplyDeleteI agree wholeheartedly, P.J.; every day is not perfect, but hopefully, there is something perfect in every day. Happy 2016!
