It's not always the story that speaks to you, but the landscape that becomes a character you want to know better.
If you're someone with a nomadic spirit, or someone in need of a new adventure, here are five movies that will feed your wanderlust and give you escape, if only for a rainy afternoon.
1. The Way
2. A Good Year
3. The Motorcycle Diaries
4. Out of Africa
5. Midnight in Paris
And 5 more because you can never have too much wanderlust...
6. Mama Mia
7. Vicki Christina Barcelona
8. Roman Holiday
9. Dan Brown Movies...The DaVinci Code or Angels and Demons
10. Under the Tuscan Sun
What are your favorite flicks that feed your wanderlust? Inspire me.

Hi Dixx,
DeleteIt's a good one. They say the book is always better, but books can't capture the Tuscan landscape. Enjoy! And thanks for visiting! :-)
This is a great list! I loved the movie where Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney drove around Europe in a convertible coupe and discussed their marriage! Can't remember the name.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-) Two for the Road...I googled it. I will have to check it out. :-) Happy Friday!
DeleteI remembered Two For the Road. I also loved Before Sunrise and Before Sunset.
ReplyDeleteUgh! I forgot those Before movies...GREAT call! So weird because I own them all and love them all. Two for the Road, I have not seen. I will check it out. :-)
DeleteLove "Under the Tuscan Sun!" It's such a great movie. I'm also a huge fan of "Matchmaker" (the remake) as it takes place in beautiful Ireland. Chrystal @ YUMeating.com
ReplyDeleteHi Chrystal! I will definitely check out "Matchmaker." Thanks so much for the recommendation. Happy Friday! Cheers!
DeleteRoman Holiday! Be still my heart! And The Way and Midnight in Paris...so many great picks! I still need to watch Under the Tuscan Sun, got to remember to do that asap!

Chelsea, I think you'll like it. The book is great, but the landscape is grand...you just can't capture that in text. Enjoy! Thanks so much for stopping by. Off to explore Chelsandthecity. :-)
DeleteThere are several in here that I haven't seen yet! I need to see the Motorcycle Diaries.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Motorcycle Diaries. My husband and I want to recreate it in his old Mercedes. :-) Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy the weekend...cheers!
DeleteGreat list! Watching these clips is enough to get me dreaming of foreign lands. Loved the Motorcycle Diaries, I should watch that one again! And I put in another vote for Before Sunrise and Before Sunset :)
ReplyDeleteHi Christy! I can't believe I forgot the Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. I own them both. They're favorites. Go figure. It's amazing what a movie clip can do for the mind. It's the perfect escape...or launch pad. :-) Thanks, again, for stopping by.
DeleteI haven't seen most of these but I loved Under The Tuscan Sun and Eat Pray Love was a good one for the list.
ReplyDeleteHi Kerry,
DeleteI also enjoyed Eat, Pray, Love. I can't believe I forgot Before Sunrise (Vienna) and Before Sunset (Paris). I own them both. They're favorites. Go figure. And then the third is Before Midnight (Greece). Oh well...another list, another time. :-)
