I Heart New England's Fall

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” ~ Albert Camus

Every season has its own beauty, but there is something special about autumn. My love of hearty stews, warm sweaters, jeans and tall boots, apples and all things pumpkin make me giddy with excitement.

What's more fall than a pumpkin martini, with a caramel, graham cracker rim? Cheers!

I am a New England girl, and maybe that's why fall is so beloved. SeƱor and I still look forward to our annual leaf peeping road trip, playing tourist to the palette of color that paints the autumnal forests.

We are so blessed in the Northeast to have this spectacular show every fall.

It never gets old.

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it and if I were a bird, I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns."  ~George Eliot

  1. I'm a New England girl too!! I'm living VERY far away from home now though - in Vancouver, BC :) I love New England autumns more than any other autumn - apple orchards, hayrides, fall colors in the trees, cider donuts... Le sigh! :)

Stopping by from the Blop Hop!

    1. Hi Bailey! Thanks so much for your visit and your comment! You are so right about the cider donuts! They're fabulous! But, everything I have seen about Vancouver is stunning...it's on our must-see list. Have you done a weekend guide to Vancouver? I'd love to hear about the must-sees, from a local. Thanks again!

  2. Hi Kelly! Ok, first of all, the martini looks excellent and I think I need one! Secondly, you're right, the east coast has the most beautiful falls. We were there last year taking in the beauty and I've done nothing but compare the fall here in Denver to my east coast experience... :)
