A Mother's Day in Pictures

What a day! Today was a perfect New England day. It was 75 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. We waited a long time for this day and we took advantage of this blessing for sure.

Wanting to treat my mother and mother-in-law for Mother's Day, my husband and I gathered our parents for a day out and about.

One benefit of living in New England is living in a small state where you can cross borders pretty quickly. We crossed, not one, but two borders today and made our way north to Maine. We are seafood lovers here and so we went in search of fish for lunch.

Packing ourselves in, we started on our way.

And started with the selfies.

After a fabulous lunch at the Weathervane, in outlet-rich Kittery, we embarked on our journey to the beloved Cape Neddick Lighthouse (a.k.a. Nubble Light) at Sohier Park, in York, Maine.

Nubble, as it is affectionately called, is spectacular on most days, even in the winter.

But today, it was especially lovely. And we played tourist yet again and took more family photos.

And more selfies

I will remember this day forever. I am so grateful to have had this opportunity with my family. As they say, life is short and time is precious. This Mother's Day was a true gift.

I hope that your day, in your corner of the world, was grand.
